It has a strong position on the world genetics scene, having developed strategic alliances and research and development initiatives. Genetics Australia was formed in 1948 as VAB. It became Genetics Australia in 1994 when it merged with Wacol AB in Queensland, forming a truly national herd improvement organisation.

Dairy Semen

Semen from all major dairy breeds is available including Holstein, Jersey, Aussie Red, Ayrshire, Guernsey and Illawarra.

Beef Semen

Genetics Australia has a comprehensive team of beef bulls. Breeds available including the Boran, Tuli, Droughtmaster, Hereford, Poll Hereford, Limousin, Murray Grey and Angus.

Freeze Branding

Genetics Australia offers a freeze branding service from all stores. Please contact your local store or us for further details.

Calf Dehorning/Debudding

Embryos

Frozen cattle embryos are available from some beef and dairy breeds.

Training

Courses in Elite Breeding Management are available. Specialist courses on semen collection and processing, embryo transfer techniques and commercial AI programs are available, some of these are organised in conjunction with TAFE colleges.  Ring for details.

Comprehensive animal husbandry management, nutrition and health programs are also available from Genetics Australia's consultants.

Insemination Equipment

A complete range of semen processing and insemination equipment is available. The range includes semen storage tanks and embryo transfer equipment.

Merchandise

Headquarters

Genetics Australia has its registered office at 'Parwan Park', Woolpack Road, Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia. Its activities are conducted from four properties - 'Parwan Park', 'Woodside', 'Parwan Park South' and 'Birregurra' - a total of 750 hectares.

Genetics Australia owns a herd of around 550 bulls.
