This is a very good quality USA made traditional parrot beak convex dehorner.  Very smooth action, high quality blades and made to very tight tolerances so the blade slides exactly over the shear edge for a clean cutting action. 

The head of the unit is manufactured in cast steel and is very durable.  This is a tool that will last many years. 

The junior model is suitable for animals up to a little over a year old, depending on horn size.  A larger size (Large) is also available.

Handles are made from Ash and are very durable.  Replacement blades and handles are available.

When using the parrot beak type dehorners, ensure the animal's head is well restrained.  Cut with a clean, straight action.  The animal's head twisting, or twisting the dehorner in use can create slight misalignment between the blade and the shear edge - making the tool much harder to use.
