SKU: CALFROPLONG
These ropes are made from 12mm soft nylon rope and are 1.8m long. They have a good flat splice to spread the load on the calf’s leg in use.
These are really good to keep in the ute as a quick alternative to a calf puller, as you can use your weight to help a calving. To do this, first make sure the cow is restrained or unable to run away.
Attach the ropes to the calf’s legs and tie loose ends of the calving ropes together so you have a large loop of rope behind the cow. Put the loop thus formed behind your back and lean backwards. You can use your hands to assist with the birth and lean back in time with the cow’s contractions.
Always make sure one of the calf’s legs is ahead of the other to assist in getting the calf’s shoulders through the pelvis.
Each rope is 1.8m long, and they are sold as a pair (1 sales unit is a pair)
