This is a short handle with a square section end to slot on to the lifter spindle.

The handle can be used at either end.

Made of galvanised steel.

Yes, they do get lost - but it is better that the handle is separate and can be used either end than being fixed to one end of the spindle.  They don't get in the way once the clamp is set either.
