Tri Bander castrator

Take advantage of nature's own growth hormone by leaving bulls intact until they are a few months of age (subject to State animal welfare laws).

1. Bull calves gain 10-15% more weight than castrated calves in similar conditions according to trials
2. Bull calves convert feed approx. 20% more efficiently than castrated calves
3. This is due to whole bull calves producing testosterone, which improves their growth characteristics compared to castrated animals.

The Bloodless Castrators applies a latex ring/band around the scrotum above the testicles, cutting off the blood supply. The scrotum should fall off in about a month. A tetanus toxoid injection should be given at time of castration - consult your vet for details. It is suggested a Tetanus toxoid (Covexin 8, Bar Vac CD-T, Vision C & D Tetanus Toxoid or Ovine Tetanus Shield) should be administered when bands are applied.

This bander is called the superior as the lower arm and banding pins are manufactured from metal. We have seen some on the market with the lower arm and side arms made of plastic, which we have known to break when used - so we only stock the stronger bander with the metal lower arm.

This castrator is best used on cattle,sheep and goats ranging up to around 180kg in weight.

The application of the ring is quick and efficient,by expanding the ring with an applicator and placing over scrotum. The applicator is made of stainless steel.

Rings opens to 6cm x 6cm x 6cm.
