These Swiss made cordless clippers are ideal for small animal clipping and show preparation for cattle and horses.  Heiniger are the world's most trusted supplier of sheep shearing equipment - over 60 million sheep are shorn with Heiniger handpieces each year in Australia alone.  These clippers take standard A5 type blades and come with a No.10 blade which cuts at around 1.5mm - 1.8mm.  The cut width is around 50mm.

This is a lovely clipper to use - try this and I guarantee you will be impressed.  It runs so quietly compared to other clippers.  The 35W permanent magent motor is very powerful and has excellent torque characteristics.  This clipper uses a lithium ion battery - the same type of battery found in laptops and mobile phones.  These batteries are light, have no 'memory effect' and can be top up charged or fast charged with no problem.  They also hold charge over long periods of storage.  The Heiniger Saphir comes with a spare battery, so you can be using one and charging the other.  The battery will last for around 50 minutes clipping, and the spare battery can be recharged in 45 minutes - so you can clip almost continuously all day. 

The 240v charger is supplied and comes with two stations - one for the battery and one for the clipper - so you don't need to drop the battery out to charge the clipper when not in use.  The charge station has a charge indicator light so you can monitor battery charging progess.
